About Dr Diesel

My name is Nicholas Wansten. I am a 27 year old EMT, Phlebotomist, Combat Life Saver, Mountain Rescue First Responder and student. I have already gained experience in trauma situations doing Ski Patrol in Big Bear, CA, as well as the 1st Cavalry Division, U.S. ARMY for 2 years. I have worked some time in my local E.R. and Have also had some prior experience in construction (obviously much, much more now!)

I love the sun, salty air, music, freedom, laughing, and most of all, helping others to have a better life, which is exactly why I am on this mission. My hobbies include playing guitar, building muscle cars with my brother (my baby is a 1973 Chevy Nova,) SCUBA diving, Surfing (soon to be, got a new red surfboard to break in on this trip!) wake boarding, fishing, and anything and everything else under the sun.

Both of my parents are still together after 30 years. I have one younger brother who can out drive you in his 1967 Firebird and pull your 4WD F250 out of the mud with the 4:10 gears in his Ranger only after having a good laugh at you.

Upon my return to the states, I plan on going to Marine Mechanic School in Florida with my brother in order to work on boats to put myself through the rest of my college career.
